Indian Army here to liberate neither Proletariats nor Tamils

Sonia rajina has sent her three musketeers to intimidate the Lankan ruler. Now according to their wishes a large contingent of armed Indians is coming to Lanka apparently to help with the coming SAARC assembly. It is not clear whether the Pakistani rulers also want to help us in the same manner.

Or do they accept Sonia as the rajina of the entire SAARC polity. This kind of benevolent help from India did not come for centuries. Of course India was not one entity for a long period. Even under the Moghuls, India did not achieve this level of world status.

At the time of the classical period of history, Emperor Asoka brought India to this level of superiority in the world scene. Then India was powerful enough to send a new human outlook to the world and it was accepted by the entire civilised East. It could not go beyond Persia perhaps because of the rise of Zoroasterism.

But India has risen then, from the barbaric rule of Aryans to bring about a new integration of all people. Both ancient Dravidian dwellers of India and the Aryans were united to form a colossal state based on iron-age technology.

This fantastic Kautilyan state had many new features including the power over all land. It was the mainland clearing agency. All production outside grama communes came under its supervision. By 300 BC, with a half million standing army, enormous bureaucracy with its officers coming from all castes and diverse origins, the Asokan state was the greatest statist commune in history. All social changes are associated with changes in belief and ideology.

Buddhist scriptures work out the duties of the house holder - the graha pathi - and the cultivator regardless of caste, wealth, profession and with no attention to ritual. In fact these argue against the Brahaministic pretensions and specialised ritual. So obviously Buddhism became the ideology of the classical Indian revolution. It became the gift of Asoka to Lankan raj Tissa who had no alternative but to accept, and be civilised!

Second coming

Today after 2500 years Sonia wants to play the second coming of the Indian messiah. But unfortunately, she has not got anything of her own. Her bag is full of all the rubbish accumulated in the last few decades of Indian development guided by global capitalism. Already she is confronted by Indian communists for attempting to sign a sell-out to the Bush administration.

We have to appeal to Indian communists and socialists to look into the crimes she is trying to commit in relation to Lanka, in particular to Lankan Dravidians because, as SAARC is greater India, we are a sort of Indians.

That is true, but we are sure she is sending the Indian army here not to liberate the proletariat nor the Tamils but the interest of the Indian capital.
